Viagra vs. Cialis vs. Levitra...Which is Better?

Levitra lifts up your penis

In late of 1998 Viagra became the dominator in the male erectile dysfunction market.  With the marketing effort by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals the word Viagra was etched forever in the minds of the general public.  Then Cialis and Levitra cam along and posed a challenge to the industry leader.  Now men who suffer from erectile dysfunction have a choice as to what drug will best suit their situation.

All of the erectile dysfunction drugs are what are called PDE5 inhibitors, and they have all been tested and proven to work in over 75% of patients who use these oral pills.  Also, all three require stimulation to the penis in order to work.

The first arrival to the market Viagra is said to be the fastest acting of the three drugs.  It is said that it can take less than 15 minutes for the drug to be absorbed into the body.  Although there is a fast reaction time it can take up to half an hour for the drug to reach its highest potential.  The effect will decrease significantly in about 4 hours and the drug carries with it many common side effects.  Side effects include but are not limited to: headaches (normally mild), upset stomach, bright vision, and flushing of the face.

Levitra, which was the second drug to hit the market is slightly different in its chemical composition and has bee found to be more effective in the harder to treat patients.  It takes about 45 minutes for Levitra to take full effect, and eating and drinking has no affect on the effect of the drug.  It is common belief that Levitra is more potent and has a longer lasting effect than does its competitor Viagra.  Also, Levitra carries the same type side effects that Viagra does.

Finally Cialis was released into the market.  Cialis seems to be much longer lasting than the previous two drugs.  Cialis lasts up to 36 hours.  In certain case Cialis has been shown to last up to a time period of 100 hours.  Cialis is not affected by food and it reaches its peak two hours after the oral pill is taken.  Cialis also has many common side effects like Levitra and Viagra except it also tends to create back and muscle pain as well.

For the most part Cialis beats out its two competitors in its overall effectiveness.  All three of the PDE5 inhibitors can be found in pharmacies everywhere, even online.  So when choosing one that best fits you, be sure to weigh the differences.  Most likely you will choose Cialis as it seems to win the battle of the pills.
